L-Carnitine Fat Loss

L-Carnitine has a chemical structure similar to an amino acid. It is involved in cellular metabolism. Ninety-eight percent of the L-Carnitine in your body is found in your heart, brain and skeletal muscles.

L-Carnitine is an amino acid and may aid in fat-loss endeavors. Its main function is to transfer long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria where they can be used to produce energy and burn fat. L-Carnitine can also aid in preventing fatty build up in the liver and heart.

L-Cartinine is considered to be a nutrient that will not only help you to lose weight but also increase your energy and lower cholesterol. As a result, it is becoming more and more popular and is being used by many people in the over-weight or the obese category. L-Carnitine offers several benefits that promote fat burning. L-Carnitine is considered to be the only nutrient that has the ability to transport fat to the mitochondria so that it can be burnt off. So in a way, this suggests that without carnitine fat burning might not be completely possible because this process can take place on in the mitochondria. On the other hand, an optimal level of L-carnitine will ensure that your body burns fat at the most optimal rate.
