Childhood obesity and obesity in general is the gripping the world in its suffocating and rather embarrassing grip. • Less Overeating - Avoid high calories food and low nutritional food for your children.

• Participate in Physical Activities - Encourage your children to participate in physical activities rather than engaging themselves in entertaining activities that result in overweight condition in childhood which may also follow during adulthood.

• Never neglect overweight child. If you accept your child the way he is, the chances are more that the child will accept the condition and feel good about them.

• Never ignore you child. Let his express his feelings about his overweight condition. They can assess their overweight condition better than anybody else.

• Help your child loose overweight.

• Encourage your child to participate in sports activities like, cricket basketball, dance or gymnastics and many more

• Give time to your child to do active tasks like vacuuming, watering plants, making beds etc Also plan active outings like visit to zoo or walking through parks.

• Get inventive with your cooking, by making dinners that are tasty and light and which appeal to him.

• Invest in the new interactive physical games that are now on the market (like DDR Wii games)

• Take the weekends to go on walks or hikes.

• Keep the snacks that you offer your child healthy.

• Consult a nutritionist to talk about better options to choose from.

• More fruits and vegetables should be included in child's diet. Consuming fruits and vegetables can reduce the incidence of heart disease by 31%, heart strokes and stomach cancer by 19% and lung cancer by 20%. Vegetable salads and fruit juices are healthy choices and contain vital vitamins and nutrients.

• Be a responsible parent and take control of your families eating habits and exercise.
